The laidback, welcoming nature of the Montpelliérains means your students will have plenty of opportunities to practise their French skills with native speakers on an everyday basis, leaving them feeling more confident and with a greater enthusiasm for all things French!

The language school organise a great programme of cultural activities designed to you’re your students explore the French culture through their language skills. One example of this is a visit to a local market. As well as learning about French cuisine and the important cultural tradition of visiting local markets, this will provide your students with an excellent opportunity to practise their French with the stallholders.

Another activity arranged by our partner language school in Montpellier is Photomania – a photo challenge. Students will be set a series of photo challenges that will take them around the city, requiring them to speak to locals in French as they go!

Montpellier was founded in the Early Middle Ages and it became an important trading post for the Mediterranean region.

The city has always been a centre for education and the University of Montpellier is one of the oldest in the world, having been founded in the 13 th century - alumni include Petrarch and Nostradamus.
