Where they can get a better idea of the importance of geography in understanding the world around them? Then we have a great choice of trips for you!

Whatever your specific requirements and learning objectives, our school travel experts will work with you to tailor make a geography trip that brings your subject to life and leaves your students feeling inspired by the incredible world around them.

Plus, you'll be inspiring the next generation to care about the planet and the environment. Your students will be able to see the impact of climate change and human activity on the landscapes that you're exploring.

They'll gain a deeper understanding of the fragility of ecosystems and problems caused when land use changes. And, in some destinations, they'll be able to learn more about sustainability and some of the initiatives working to combat climate change.

Why arrange a school geography trip?

Experience geography in action

Our tours offer unforgettable experiences of geography in action.

For many, the ultimate destination is Iceland, the Land of Fire and Ice, where students can see volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls and geysers all within a relatively small area.

In Naples and Sorrento, they can weigh up the devastating effects on a population when a nearby volcano erupts with the benefits that see a city thrive in its shadow.

And in the Auvergne, you'll be able to explore how volcanoes and rivers shape the landscape around them.

You can explore rapid urbanisation in Dubai or sustainability, eco-tourism and biodiversity in Costa Rica. Visit the limestone karsts of Ha Long Bay in Vietnam or head to the West Coast of the USA to see the Grand Canyon!

We have some outstanding natural beauty in the UK too. For example, in Cornwall, your students can explore coastal landscapes and sustainability at the Eden Project. Meanwhile, in the Yorkshire Dales, your students will learn more about limestone geology as they explore the area's cave systems. And in the North York Moors, your group can discover the effects of glaciation and hydrology.

Help students understand complex geographical concepts

Geography trips can really help students to grasp the more complex concepts that they study in class.

Geography, after all, is the study of the physical features of the Earth and of how human activity affects and is affected by these. So, you really can't beat getting out of the classroom and seeing natural and human environments first-hand.

For example, for students studying geology and plate tectonics, a trip to Ponta Delgada in the Azores will be simply unforgettable, as they will see for themselves how the country is being affected by its location at the meeting point of three major tectonic plates.

A trip to the Swiss Alps will allow your students to explore a glacier first-hand, find out how it is shaping the landscape and discover how it's being affected by climate change. They'll also learn more about river processes and see some of the world's most famous pyramidal peaks, including the Matterhorn!

These experiences can give your students something real to draw upon in exams, helping them to achieve those higher grades.
