Science School Trips

Need something bespoke?

Halsbury Sticker

Our science trips are designed to provide your students with opportunities to learn in exciting, dynamic and challenging environments.

Trips can be specifically designed to bring your curriculum to life and show students the importance of science in the ‘real world’ – from the cutting edge of technology to the fundamentals of physics.

Science school trips can also emphasise the importance of scientific learning. This, in turn, can engage students and spark their curiosity in STEM subjects – perfect for once you’re back in the classroom.

And it might even go further than that. The right experience could also give students ideas for future careers. Our trips often involve meeting scientists working in fields that your students may be inspired to explore.

Your trip might take them further than you ever thought possible.

Science activities that your school group will love

CERN

Enjoy a half-day, guided tour of CERN, one of the world’s largest and most respected centres for scientific research.

Euro Space Center

Get ready for an incredible odyssey from the start of the universe with the Big Bang to the most futuristic projects of space exploration.

History of Science Museum

The History of Science Museum is a must-see when visiting Geneva.

Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie

France’s leading science museum hosts static and interactive exhibitions on a range of environmental and technological themes.

Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Station

A visit to Hellisheidi will teach your students about how Iceland has harnessed its key natural resource - geothermal power.

Kennedy Space Center

Just 45 minutes from Orlando, NASA’s headquarters is the only place on Earth where you can tour launch areas, meet an astronaut, see giant rockets, train in spaceflight simulators, and even view a launch.

Orlando Science Center

For over fifty years, the Orlando Science Center has been a place that inspires curiosity and exploration, encouraging learning in a fun way.

Where could you go?

We offer a wide range of science trips abroad and in the UK. If you’re struggling to decide where to go, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our experienced education team can provide further information and advice.

For inspiration, here are some ideas:

Paris

The world’s largest science museum, the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, is a must-visit in Paris. Students will learn about a range of environmental and technological themes. To top it off, a visit to the Palais de la Découverte will help them understand the role that science has played in the development of civilisation.

Geneva

Geneva is one of our most popular destinations because school groups can visit the world’s largest particle physics laboratory, CERN. Here, your students will see how scientists are working to answer some of the biggest questions about our universe.

Orlando

For the more adventurous, why not try something a little further afield, such as Orlando and the Kennedy Space Center? On this educational trip your pupils can learn about the history of American spaceflight, ‘train’ to be an astronaut in their interactive exhibits, and, if you’re lucky, perhaps even view a shuttle launch.

Brussels

If you want to learn about space travel but don’t have the time or budget to go all the way to Florida, Brussels offers the chance to visit the Euro Space Centre. And in Brussels, at Living Tomorrow, they’ll see how we could be living in the future, thanks to the work that scientists are doing right now.

Amsterdam

In Amsterdam, you can visit the Corpus Museum to take a journey through the human body and learn why healthy eating and exercise are so important. Amsterdam is also the perfect base from which to explore Space Expo, the European Space Agency’s visitor centre.
