FAQS

Have you arranged school trips for international schools before?

Yes, we've arranged loads of trips for international schools and there are some we work with on a very regular basis. We've arranged trips for schools based all over the world, including Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas.

Will you include flights if we need them?

Yes, we can take care of your flight arrangements for you and include them as part of the package, or we can just focus on the arrangements when you're in your destination - it's entirely up to you.

Will you arrange visas for us?

Unfortunately, we're not able to arrange visas for you, as this is something that travellers are responsible for. However, if you do need a visa then we can supply the following:

  • Guidance on where to apply
  • A letter of invitation
  • Details of your accommodation reservation
  • Your itinerary
  • Your flight details (if applicable), including ticket details
  • Invoices
  • Any other documents you'll need for a successful visa application

Do you provide travel insurance?

We do offer travel insurance for our trips, but that's an optional extra. So, you can choose whether or not you want to add it to your booking. To find out more, head to our insurance page, where you can view the policy, along with some really helpful FAQs.

If you decide not to ass this insurance to your booking, please make sure you do have alternative insurance in place that provides suitable cover.

Can you cater for any dietary, cultural or religious needs our school might have?

Absolutely. We understand it's vital that your trip is designed around any specific needs you have, whether that's religious observances, cultural values, dietary needs or anything else.

Do your tours all meet our curriculum requirements?

We pride ourselves on designing bespoke trips that align with your specific curriculum needs. If you have any particular curriculum areas or subjects you'd like to cover, just let us know and we'll factor these in when designing your school's trip.

Will we need to get an ETA?

You will need to get an ETA (electronic travel authorisation) if you're travelling to the UK but don't need a visa (and this now includes visitors from Europe too). You can check whether you're eligible for an ETA on the UK government's website

Who will and won't need to get an ETA?

There's no age limit for the ETA, so any children you're travelling with will need to apply for one (their parents/guardians can apply on their behalf, but if they're not physically with the child when they apply, they will need to use the website rather than the app - see below for more info on that).

You won't need an ETA if you're a British or Irish citizen (or hold dual citizenship of both), are travelling with a British Overseas Territories Citizen passport or a British National (Overseas) passport, or have permission to live, work or study in the UK. You can see the full list of exemptions on the UK government's website.

How long does the ETA last?

Your ETA will last you two years, or until your passport expires (whichever is soonest), and there are no limits to the number of trips you can make with your ETA during that time.

It will be digitally linked to the passport you used to complete your application (so, if you hold more than one, you'll need to make sure you travel with the one linked to your ETA).

How do I get an ETA and how much does it cost?

The ETA costs £16, and you should apply for it via the UK ETA app (available on Apple and Android) or the UK government's website (don't bother applying for it via any third-party websites - despite what they say, it won't speed up the process and may cost you more).

To apply, you'll need the passport you'll be travelling on (and not a copy) in front of you, as well as access to your emails and a payment method.

You'll need to take a photo of both the passport and your face (or the face of the person applying for the ETA). If a parent is applying for a child who is not physically with them at the time, they should use the website and not the app.

Applying through the app usually results in a decision within minutes (but you should apply at least 3 working days before you need the ETA, as some applications do need to be reviewed further).

For more information or advice, please visit the UK government's website.

Do you organise CAS trips?

Yes, we can organise your school’s CAS trip. We have a wide range of activities that suit the International Baccalaureate’s CAS requirements perfectly. For example, your students could take part in a community-based project at Kiau Taburi village, Borneo, or remove Lantana weed in Delhi. Many of our trips can feature creative workshops such as traditional calligraphy lessons in Tokyo, or a Broadway performance workshop in New York. We also have a wide range of active elements to our itineraries, such as walking tours of classic European cities, or hiking the lava trails of the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica.  We can tailor your itinerary to include any CAS element required and our team will be pleased to advise you on the options available in your chosen destination.
