There’s massive slides to chuck yourselves down and, for those more sedate moments, a lazy river that will carry you around an island while you lay back and soak up some of that South African sunshine.

The Christ the Redeemer statue is the most famous attraction on Corcovado Mountain. The statue is 38m (125 ft) high and, therefore, the largest art deco sculpture in the world. Since 1931 when the statue was inaugurated lighting has been added, and in September 2002 came the addition of a panoramic elevator and escalator to make the monument more accessible.
