What was your main objective for this tour?
We arranged this tour to the Netherlands as a pre-season hockey tour for our hockey players.
Why did you choose this destination?
The Netherlands is the undisputed capital of hockey!
Can you briefly describe the sporting activities your group took part in during this tour?
We enjoyed three professional training sessions. Two were at SV Kampong, which is the largest hockey club in the world, and one was at HC Rotterdam. We also enjoyed three friendly fixtures against local opposition.
What will be your lasting memories of this tour?
I will remember the awesome hockey facilities in the Netherlands - even the village hockey clubs had excellent facilities. Of course, the best facilities were at SV Kampong where there are 9 pitches, and at HC Rotterdam, where there are 6.
I will also remember the day we spent watching the Euro Hockey Championships across the border in Germany.
And, away from hockey, I also really enjoyed the cycling tour around Utrecht.
