There are a variety of runs for all abilities here, although best catered for are beginners and intermediates. Excellent nursery slopes, both at village level and at the top of the gondola, as well as the wide, uncrowded pistes, certainly make this a great introduction to skiing, and the ski school here is first-rate. The number of runs for intermediates means it is also perfect for those wishing to improve their skills.

Alpine Classic Hotel

This modern 3* hotel in Leysin offers a great base from which to explore the Swiss Alps. Guest rooms sleep 1-5 people, with some offering panoramic mountain views. All boast a private bathroom and satellite TV, as well as free WiFi access. There's a lovely café which offers incredible views across the Dents-du-Midi mountains and an outside terrace where you can relax and take in your surroundings. Sandwiched between the Suchet forest and the Tour d'Aï mountains, this semi-enclosed ice rink is a fantastic option for après-ski.

Curling Leysin

Curling is a fantastic choice for an après-ski activity and teaches players the value of teamwork.

Broomball Hockey Leysin

Brooms replace hockey sticks, the puck is replaced by a ball and no skates are required.

Climbing Wall Leysin

A climbing wall at the ice rink sports centre, as well as a bouldering alley and the climbing walls at the swimming pool sports centre ensure that climbing is available all year round.

Swimming Pool Leysin

Open for 11 months of the year, the half-Olympic size pool (25m) has 4 swimming lanes.

Tobogganing Leysin

The toboganning park in Leysin is incredible, designed each year by former bobsleigh world champion and Olympian, Silvio Giobellina.

Sledding Leysin

The gentle slopes at the bottom of the village are perfect for sledding.

Sports Hall Leysin

With a surface area of 27m x 45m, this multi-purpose sports hall can be used to play volleyball, basketball, uni-hockey etc.

Support while you’re away

While you’re away, you’ll be looked after by a Halsbury rep based in your resort. Plus, our HQ staff will be on available by phone, 24 hours a day. You’ll get a final info pack before you go with all the info you need, plus access to all your trip documents on the Vamoos app.

After your trip

When you return, we’ll ask you to complete a detailed feedback survey, so we can continue our service. This is also the perfect time to start planning your next trip, so you can give parents plenty of time to pay for it (and make it easier for you).
