Ski trip to Sauze d'Oulx

Halsbury Sticker

Nicknamed the 'balcony of the Alps', Sauze d'Oulx is a lively, popular resort within the huge Milky Way ski area, offering access to 400km of piste in both Italy and France. There's plenty going on within Sauze, with a great variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. And the lovely old town is worth exploring, with its cobbled streets and Romanesque churches. The skiing is great too - the resort hosted the freestyle skiing events at the 2006 Winter Olympics and is particularly great for intermediates.

Skiing in Sauze d'Oulx

The sun-drenched, tree-lined slopes mean that this is one of the best resorts to be in should bad weather hit. And snow-making facilities cover most of the slopes. Like the rest of the Milky Way, the resort is characterised by wide open spaces and panoramic runs. This is heaven for intermediates with plenty of red runs, although there's some great skiing for beginners too. And intermediates will enjoy the easy connection to Sestriere and its famous black runs.

The whole experience was fantastic, the company’s knowledge and understanding was first class. The rep (Hayley) was the best rep I have come across.
