Ski trip to Saint Lary

Halsbury Sticker

Looking for a more friendly resort? Then take your next school ski trip to Saint-Lary in the French Pyrenees. The warm, authentic atmosphere in this typical Pyrenean village is a nice change from some of the less personal resorts, making it much more child-friendly. There are loads of great restaurants to choose from, as well as several shops, so finding souvenirs and trying out the local delicacies are both hassle-free options. Energetic groups will be pleased to learn that there’s a sports centre here too! There are some brilliant après-ski options, including ice skating, snow showing and even visiting the thermal baths.

Ski Information Graphic

Skiing in Saint Lary

Saint-Lary is linked by either road or cable car to three ski stations – La Cabane (1600m), Pla d’Adet (1700m) and Espiaube (1900m). This means you’ll have access to 100km of runs. The Pla d’Adet station is dedicated to family skiing and has a snow garden, toboggan run and a fun snow park area for younger skiers. The Espiaube station, on the other hand, is for more experienced skiers. It is here that the famous ‘Mirabelle’, one of the longest runs in the Pyrenees, can be found. Climb even higher up the mountain, to an altitude of 2400m, and you’ll find mogul and slalom stadia, as well as a snow park featuring a half-pipe.
