A modern ski resort in the Rhodopi Mountains, Pamporovo is just two hours from Bulgaria’s second city, Plovdiv. With a winter wonderland backdrop of snow-covered pine forests, Pamporovo really does look like something out of a fairy tale. Benefiting from a mild climate and over 120 days of sunshine during a typical ski season (December to late April), this resort is ideal for skiing in comfort and is a pleasure to learn in.

There are plenty of easy slopes at Pamporovo, which will allow your beginners to develop their skills and grow in confidence as the week progresses. But don’t worry, there’s plenty for intermediate skiers too, with lots of challenging slopes for them to get their teeth into. Although this resort is ideal for the less experienced skiers, any advanced skiers in the group will also find a few challenges waiting for them, including ‘The Wall’ (a steep mogul field) and the giant slalom run. Boasting the only half-pipe in the Balkans, Pamporovo is also a good option for snowboarders.

This recently refurbished 4* hotel offers an excellent standard of accommodation for our school groups. It has an indoor swimming pool with a life guard, games room, meeting room, restaurant, bar, fitness, sauna, and Jacuzzi. Ski lockers are available at reception.All rooms are cosy with modern furniture, offering a balcony, en-suite facilities, TV, telephone and hairdryer. Rooms are 2-, 3-, 4- or 5-bedded and have incredible views of the ski trails and the tower of Snezhanka.A buffet style breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, and hot lunches are provided in a restaurant on the slopes.

Launching your trip to parents and students

The next step is to get your trip approved and get students signed up. Our Trip Launch Pack is full of resources (all free to download) designed to make your life easier at this crucial point in the planning process.

After you’ve booked

Once you’ve booked, your dedicated Itinerary Coordinator will start work on the finer details. They’ll make sure your ski lessons, gear hire and après-ski activities are all sorted and they’ll take on most of the other admin tasks (so you can look forward to the trip as much as the kids).

Support while you’re away

While you’re away, you’ll be looked after by a Halsbury rep based in your resort. Plus, our HQ staff will be on available by phone, 24 hours a day. You’ll get a final info pack before you go with all the info you need, plus access to all your trip documents on the Vamoos app.

After
your trip

When you return, we’ll ask you to complete a detailed feedback survey, so we can continue our service. This is also the perfect time to start planning your next trip, so you can give parents plenty of time to pay for it (and make it easier for you).
