Ski trip to Bad Kleinkirchheim

Halsbury Sticker

Bad Kleinkirchheim is an old spa resort town nestled in the Nockberge Mountains, just north of Villach. Originally famed for its hot spring, Bad Kleinkirchheim is now better known for its skiing and is the hometown of Franz Klammer, the famous Olympic downhill skier. This is a fantastic resort for school ski tours to Austria, thanks to the extensive sports facilities and excellent ski schools. This pretty, historic alpine town also offers some great après-ski activities.

Skiing in Bad Kleinkirchheim

Whilst the majority of the 103km of pistes are best suited to intermediates, there's also plenty for both beginners and experts here. Although well-renowned as a sunny resort, the high altitude does mean that snowfall is reliable and, even if it doesn’t snow, more than 700 snow cannons will ensure that 95% of the slopes are covered. If you have any snowboarders in your party, they will love the dedicated snowpark and half-pipe.
