Why visit Toronto?

Discover Canadian culture

Toronto is a vibrant metropolis and the most populous city in Canada. It’s also one of the most multicultural cities in the world which makes it the ideal choice for a general and cultural school trip!

Toronto has long been an important destination for immigrants to Canada and its cultural diversity reflects this history. The incredible mix of cultures here has led to a lot of creativity and Toronto is an important centre for music, theatre, TV and film production in Canada.

There are a wide range of visit and activity options here, from exploring the CN Tower, formerly the world’s tallest freestanding structure and an iconic element of the Toronto skyline, to a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame!

Experience Niagara Falls

One of the highlights of your school trip to Toronto will certainly be the opportunity to see Niagara Falls!

Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls that straddle the border between Canada and the USA.

You’ll be able to take a boat trip to see the Falls up close and can even walk behind the Falls where you’ll really appreciate the power of the water. And you mustn’t miss a visit to the museum telling the incredible stories of the many daredevils who have taken trips over the Falls.

Fantastic museums

Toronto is a fantastic choice for a general educational tour. As well as all the culture here, Toronto is also home to some excellent museums.

The Royal Ontario Museum is one of the largest in North America and boasts an extensive collection of art, world culture and natural history. Here, your students will learn more about dinosaurs, costumes and textiles, ancient Roman culture and much, much more.

And the Ontario Science Centre is one of the first interactive museums in North America. Your students will be able to explore space at the centre’s planetarium, find out how their body reacts to danger and discover how existing beliefs and prejudices can influence science.
