The biggest benefit for Group Leaders booking with Halsbury is that we’ll be there to support you every step of the way.
But here are a few other perks you can look forward to when booking with us.
Inspection Visits
We totally get that you might want to check our the destination and accommodation before travelling with your students.
And you might even want to get a head start on those pesky risk assessments.
So, once you’ve booked your trip with us, we’ll be pleased to organise two nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation for two (sharing a twin room) at your chosen accommodation ahead of your school trip. And it’ll be totally free of charge (of course, this is subject to availability at the accommodation and, unfortunately, transport isn’t included).
Free Place Ratio
We know you’ll need to have a number of colleagues join you on the trip to provide suitable supervision.
We can include whatever free place ratio you need (just let us know when you ask us for a quote), but as a guide we tend to include a standard free place ratio of:
1:8 for coach trips
1:10 for air trips
Detailed Information Pack and Handy App
Before you leave on your school trip, we’ll send you a detailed information pack with everything you’ll need for your school trip.
You’ll also have access to our Vamoos travel app, where you’ll have access to all your trip info at the touch of a button (so you’re not constantly battling with reams of paper).
24/7 Support
Of course, we’ll support you throughout the planning process. Even more importantly, you’ll be able to get in touch with us 24/7 while you’re away.
So, if anything happens that you need our support with, you’ll be able to reach us. After nearly 40 years of arranging school trips, we’ve pretty much seen (and sorted) everything (read more about how we deal with the unexpected), so you can be sure we’ll get your trip back on track ASAP.
Coach broken down? We’ve got contacts all over Europe to arrange replacement coaches 24 hours a day. And we never leave our coach operators or breakdown services to deal with a mechanical problem on their own.
While they’re working on getting your coach back up and running, we’ll be working away in the background to make contingency plans to send you a new coach if it’s going to take too long to fix your original one.
We can also re-arrange Channel crossings at a moment’s notice if a network’s closed, on strike or blockaded, as we’ve got accounts with all the major operators.
What if someone’s got to stay behind because they’re ill or injured and not able to travel back with the rest of the group? We’ll be able to find accommodation for them at short notice.
Free Promotional Materials
Getting your trip launch right is essential if you want to get enough students signed up to make it viable.
To help you with this, we’ve created a bunch of free resources. Just head to the trip launch pack on our Resource Hub for posters, PowerPoint presentations and even a sample trip letter to send home to parents.
