Newcastle School for Boys' Ski Trip to Passo Tonale

I wanted the boys to make progress with this skiing and for them to create new and long-lasting memories and experiences throughout the whole week.

We chose Passo Tonale because of the reliable snow conditions on the glacier and because we’d seen lots of good reviews.

The boys made lots of progress throughout the week. The good relationships that they formed with their ski instructors really helped with this.

Yes, they took part in several activities. They had a night skiing session, which I recommend being arranged for the end of the week if you have any beginners in your group. And they enjoyed a pizza night, which is another great option for the end of the trip. They also had a go at bumboarding, which was good fun and a cheap option for the evening to tire the students out!

We had used Halsbury previously. They also had good feedback and reviews from other groups who had travelled with them.

Our rep, Jon Doel, was fantastic and helped make the trip a real success. He was thoroughly helpful with the GCSE boys, sorting fantastic footage for them to use for the NEA component. He was also very pro-active with sorting night activities.
