What was your main objective for the tour?

We wanted our students to experience performing music in new environments and expand their cultural capital.

Why did you choose this destination?

Bruges was somewhere few of us had been before and we were keen to try somewhere new. It was a beautiful place and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Where did you perform on your tour?

We performed at a bandstand in a market square in Brussels and also outside the cathedral in Ypres, which was an amazing location, even despite the thunderstorm.

What other activities did you do on tour?

The concerts were our main reason for going to Belgium, but we did also enjoy a canal cruise, as well as visits to a theme park and a Chocolate Museum. These visits were recommended to us by Maria (our Itinerary Coordinator) and were excellent. The kids really loved the theme park.

What will be your lasting memories of this tour?

My lasting memory of this tour will be seeing the students perform in amazing locations and just enjoying each other's company so much. There was a real bond between the students that is difficult to foster in school where year groups tend not to mix.

Why did you choose Halsbury for this tour?

Our previous head of department recommended Halsbury to us.

How would you describe the experience of working with Halsbury on this tour?

Easy and excellent. From the initial stages of planning through to the end of the trip, Halsbury made everything easy, providing a sensational school trip.

Would you recommend Halsbury to your friends and colleagues?

Yes, I've already recommended Halsbury to our PE department for their next tour.
