School Christmas Markets Trip to Düsseldorf

Already been to Aachen or Cologne and fancy something a bit different? Then why not try a trip to Düsseldorf’s Christmas markets?

With similar travelling times as those to Cologne, Düsseldorf hosts Christmas markets that are not to be missed. The festive atmosphere draws people to the streets seven days a week, keeping the winter gloom at bay and making for a delightful run-up to Christmas. The Marktplatz in front of the town hall contains the most stalls, with the tempting scent of Glühwein filling the air.

Typical German Christmas gifts on sale include carved wooden nutcrackers for the Erzgebirge of Saxony and hand-blown glass from the Bavarian Forest.

AO Hostel Düsseldorf

Built near the central station and the main shopping street, this hostel is situated close to all the main attractions.Rooms are bright and modern - students will usually be accommodated in multi-bedded rooms and staff in twins, all of them en-suite.
