Dreamy castles, spectacular Alpine scenery and lively towns full of holidaying Italians and foreign tourists ready to be entertained by your ensemble. Sounds like your next tour, right?
Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy and was formed by glaciers at the end of the last Ice Age. Surrounded by breathtaking Alpine landscape, this spectacular scenery makes for an unforgettable setting for a school music tour.
Dotted around the edge of the lake are many charming small towns and villages - all connected by road, rail and (of course) boat. Each has its own character, but all share the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere you'd expect from their beautiful lakeside location.
Your ensemble will love the experience of performing in these spectacular surroundings to international audiences of foreign tourists and Italians. There's a strong musical culture around the lake, guaranteeing your ensemble will receive a warm, appreciative welcome from all of their audiences.
Where can we perform around Lake Garda?
In the summer, a stage is erected at the foot of the steps leading up to the church at Levico Terme (an elegant town, known for its spa). Concerts usually take place here in the evenings, with both locals and tourists turning out to enjoy the entertainment.
You could also perform an evening concert at the iconic Castello Scaligero. This really is a beautiful setting for a concert, as the covered stage overlooks the lake (and there's room for an audience of up to 400).
You'll also be able to perform at many of the town squares and churches around the lake, and the beautiful, historic city of Verona (which boasts several alternative performance venues) is also within easy reach for a day trip.
