School Classical Studies Trip to Rome

There is no better setting for a classical studies school trip than the Eternal City – Rome!

On your classical studies school trip to Rome, your students will experience the feeling of centuries of turbulent history under their feet. Stepping back in time, they’ll visit the early city, exploring sites such as Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum.

They’ll learn more about Imperial patronage at sites such as the Colosseum and the Pantheon, and they’ll also develop their understanding of early Christianity, with visits to basilicas and catacombs. Our top tip? Make sure you take the time to experience the opulence of the Vatican, which contains a plethora of Roman Art in its vast museums. And don't forget that Rome offers the opportunity for you to make this a cross-curricular trip, thanks to the opportunities available for Italian, art and religious studies
